Sounds about right

While waiting for my delivery for more motors, I decided to work on some more of the details.

I set to work on the side vents, making my own rather than using resin ones.

The plan is to have speakers behind them, so I wanted the back plate of them to be perforated aluminum to allow the sound.

I'll be using the cut out left over from the aluminum skins as a top plate, so I've used that as a template on the styrene to pad it out.

At some point doing this, I decided I should check how deep I needed to mount the speakers.

I used a piece of 3mm styrene for a mounting plate and cut it to size, then traced round the speaker and filed it to get the correct size cut out.

A nice fit!

Well, one thing lead to another, and I forgot about the side vents.  But, I did achieve this at least ;)
